Both the chickens we raise for meat and those we raise for eggs lead pleasant lives doing what chickens love to do - scratching for bugs outdoors and having plenty of space to roam in a stress-free environment.

Meat chickens

Every spring we purchase young chickens that are started indoors. As they grow, they are let outside to forage for their food. They also receive supplemental grain to meet their nutrient needs. Our chickens receive no growth stimulants. Chickens are available for purchase from July-October. We have a limited supply, so we encourage customers to pre-order. Order products here

Chickens:  Cornish - $4/lb, Grazers - $4.25/lb

We will be raising four separate flocks of birds this season to spread out their availability from this summer to fall.  We will be raising Cornish giants for those of you that enjoy a bigger chicken, 5 lbs+.  If you got chickens from us last year, we will be raising more of the Bergs Grazers.  These chickens end up being smaller, around 4-5 lbs, and live a bit more of a vigorous, "grazing" lifestyle. We are currently taking pre-orders.

Laying Hens

We have 100 laying hens that produce delicious brown eggs. We believe that our healthy, happy chickens lay much better tasting, more nutritious eggs than commercial eggs. Eggs are available for pick-up either at the farm or at our Winnipeg location. Order products here
